Imperial Realms is currently owned and operated by Imperial Realms Media.
This Agreement governs conduct while using the Imperial Realms web sites (the "Web Sites"), the Imperial Realms software (the "Software" ) and game servers (the "Servers"), and all affiliated web sites and network services (collectively, the "Game," the "Site" or "Sites"). In this Agreement, "you" and "your" refer to the user of the Sites. The words "us," "we," "our" and the "Company" refer to Imperial Realms Media, its successors and assigns.
Please read the entire Agreement carefully before use. By registering with the Sites or downloading the Software, you consent to the terms and conditions of the Agreement. If you do not consent to the terms or conditions, do not use the Sites. Breach of these terms may be met with actions including in-game penalties, cancellation of your account and termination of access to the Sites.
Imperial Realms Media may modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time. In any such event, we will advise users of the modified terms by posting them on the web sites and through notices distributed with the Imperial Realms software.
Rules of Conduct
1. You must register through the Web Sites, truthfully providing all required information and keeping it up-to-date and accurate.
2. You must be 18 years of age or older to use the Sites. Use of the Sites constitutes representation that you are at least 18 years of age.
3. You may not share your Site passwords with anyone else. Families, corporations, businesses, organizations and other groups may not register to use the Sites, only individuals.
4. You may not transfer your account or passwords to anyone else.
5. You agree to obey all applicable local, regional, national and international laws and statutes while using the Sites.
6. You agree not to do anything that interferes with the ability of other users to enjoy the Sites, and to obey any posted Rules of Conduct. These include, but are not limited to:
7. You may not use obscene, hateful, abusive, defamatory, or sexually explicit language. You are also forbidden to use alternative constructions of such language with the goal of circumventing software filters.
8. While using the Sites, you may not commit criminal offences or do anything which could give rise to civil liabilities, nor encourage other users of the Sites to do so.
9. You may not organize groups of Site users based on any form of hate-mongering philosophy, including but not limited to racist, sexist, anti-ethnic, or anti-religious groups.
10. You may not advertise, promote, market, solicit or in any way attempt to sell or transfer goods, services or money on the Sites, other than in-game virtual transactions.
11. You may not advertise, promote, market, solicit or in any way attempt to sell or transfer in-game goods, services or money for real considerations (Real Money Trading is prohibited).
12. You may not use the Software or Sites in ways which infringe copyrights or trademarks.
13. You may not impersonate employees or volunteers representing the Company.
14. You may not disrupt operation of the Site or play of the game by users.
15. You may not search for nor exploit any bugs in the Software or Sites.
16. You may not attempt to decompile or modify the Software, nor to decipher, crack or interfere with game transmissions.
17. You may not run alternative servers, nor make available software related to Imperial Realms without the express written permission of the Company.
18. You may not use the Software with servers not controlled by the Company.
19. You may not publish other users' personal information.
20. You may not publish private communications with employees, volunteers or other representatives of the Company.
21. You will report attempts by other users to break these Rules of Conduct to administrators or game masters authorized by the Company.
22. You will follow the instructions of administrators or game masters authorized by the Company.
Rights
The Company retains exclusive ownership of the Sites, Software and game content.
You grant to the Company full rights to use posted content in any way, subject only to specific limitations we may grant from time to time, for example for specific types of content or postings to specific areas of the Sites.
We reserve the right to edit or modify all game and Site content at any time, without notice or limitation.
Warranty, Indemnity, Liability
The Software, Sites, and all game and user content are provided on an "as is" basis with all faults and without warranty of any kind. You assume all risk associated with use of the Sites.
By using the Sites, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its employees, contractors, licensors, suppliers from any and all claims, damages, loss and demands arising from use of or access to the Sites or Software.
In the event of a breach of the Company's obligations to provide access to the Sites, the Company's liability will be limited to any pre-paid subscription fees pertaining to the period during which access was denied. For all other claims arising from use of the Sites, the Company's liability shall be limited to one month's subscription fees.
Miscellaneous
These Terms of Service will be governed and construed by and in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia. The sole and exclusive forum for resolving disputes related to these terms will be the courts of the Province of British Columbia.
